I went out job-hunting again and turned in applications around town. We also took Mya to the vet since she hasn't been keeping food down lately. No one is sure what exactly is wrong since the vet says she feels fine, but we have pills to give her and they gave her a de-wormer just in case.

Scott had his last VA appointment this morning. On the way home I went job-hunting around town and got my new ID. It's prettier than my other one - lol.

We cooked our first official meal tonight! For the first time it wasn't a frozen dinner, spaghetti, or a casserole that required baking. We made Italian chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, and corn! It was so good!

We had planned to go to bed early the night before so we could catch up on sleep, but we stayed up late talking. My mom went to visit her mother at the lake so we went with her. We then walked down to my aunt's house to swim some before lunch. My dad and younger brother joined us and we had a great time. We stayed much later than planned. After swimming I had started craving watermelon so we picked one up.

Honeymoon Day 7:
Check-out was at 10 am. We were sad that our honeymoon was over and we had to go back to reality, but we had a great time! The days went by slowly and we were able to enjoy everything! It was a fantastic, belated honeymoon. We headed to SC to pick up Sally.

Honeymoon Day 6:
We were running out of things to do since shopping got boring. lol. We got up early to go ride go-carts. We had picked out which tracks we wanted to go on earlier and they were doing a 2 for the price of 1 if you were there before noon. So we got up and went. We went back to the room with plans to eat lunch and nap, but we wound up watching CSI again. lol. We love that show! After we ate lunch we headed back out to drive around to see if we wanted to go anywhere else and then came back and swam again. It was Scott's last chance to tan - lol. We ate dinner in the room and cuddled on the couch watching a few episodes of The Love Boat before packing.

Honeymoon Day 5:
My dad bought us tickets to go to the Comedy Barn show tonight at 5pm so we decided to stay in the hotel and have lunch and watch CSI. We then went swimming again, Scott mainly wanted to lay out and get tan. We spent an hour laying out and swimming, then went back to shower before heading to the show. The show was really funny. Afterwards we ate dinner next door at Happy Days. The food was yummy! We then went back to the putt-putt place since it wasn't as hot and we had a free round. It was more crowded at night but just as fun! We got 5 Hole-in-Ones!

Honeymoon Day 4:
Today we went putt-putting and hiking. We picked the funnest putt-putt place to go to, grabbed water since it was hot, and headed to Gatlinburg to go hiking. We finally get to where we're supposed to be and don't get very far on the trail when we see a large dark cloud overhead and hear thunder. So we turn around and head back to the car since our windows were down. I would've been fine hiking in the rain, but Scott was wearing flip flops and I wasn't sure just how long the storm would be since I couldn't see the cloud. So we drove back to Pigeon Forge and as soon as we got there, we saw the sun starting to come back out. So we went in a nearby shop and bought matching car tags. Once they were ready we went back to Gatlinburg to hike to Cataract Falls.

Honeymoon Day 3:
We decided to hang out in Pigeon Forge since we had to be at the Dixie Stampede around 4:30 pm. So we went to the Old Mill and Patriot Park. Around 3:30pm we went to Dixie Stampede to get our tickets since we pre-ordered online. We still had time to spare so we goofed off in the gift shop and looked at the horses. Scott loved the Dixie Stampede! I'd been before but it had been several years so I enjoyed it, too.

Honeymoon Day 2:
Happy 1 Year Anniversary to us!! We spent the day walking up and down downtown Gatlinburg. Went in several shops, the Mountain Mall, goofed off, became "homeowners", and went into Ripley's Believe It or Not. Halfway through our day both of us had achy, sore feet.

Honeymoon Day 1:
We went shopping in outlet malls & strip malls. We weren't gone long before we saw a big storm cloud rolling in from Knoxville. So we got in the car to head back, but the rain didn't last long so we stayed out in town. We went back to the hotel later and swam and made dinner.

Arrived at our resort in Pigeon Forge! We met my mom so she could take Sally home to my brother so he could watch her. We got in late because of a lot of traffic. We checked into our room, unloaded, went grocery shopping, ate a late dinner, and went to bed. A busy week awaited us! I'll have tons of photos posted in a Facebook album soon.

We slept in today. I went to unpack our bag from the weekend and as I pulled out my shorts I saw this crawling on it.


Yea, it's a brown recluse. Needless to say, I immediately dropped the shorts & yelled for Scott to come kill it. lol. I then proceeded to ask him to finish unpacking the bag so I could spray everything with Lysol. All the exposed clothes were put into the dirty clothes basket to be washed tomorrow.

I slept in til about noon. My mom had made pancakes & eggs. Yummy! I haven't had a breakfast like that in a while. We had to head back to KY so we packed, ran a few errands, and headed home. Another long 8 hour drive. I cannot wait til we move closer. Towards the end of our trip we saw 2 cops go flying by us and then a rescue squad and a fire truck. So we figured there was a wreck. Several miles go by and we finally see it. There were tons of lights flashing everywhere from the 7 or 8 vehicles that were around. I couldn't see much but I saw one person on a stretcher, several people sitting in the grass, and an extremely smashed up vehicle. I hope everyone was ok.

I meant to go to church today but I wound up sleeping in. Today was family day for Scott's unit so I got ready to head out. My younger brother came for a little while and then my parents joined after church. We had a great time! Lots of yummy food, a dunking booth (where Scott dunked his 1Sgt), a raffle, and paddle boats.


When we left we were hot & sweaty from being outdoors and being on the lake only made us want to jump in it. So on the way home I called my uncle about going over to swim. He had just cleaned it so we got home, I found a bathing suit of my mom's that I could wear, & we headed over. The pool felt SO good.....until the clouds came in. Then it got cold so we got out. We only swam for about an hour and got ready to head to a church nearby for a performance by the African Children's Choir. They were so good!


We headed home when that was over to feed Sally and let her out of her kennel. We took her on a walk and then ate dinner. When Nick got home he said we were heading to Greg's house for movie & game night. We took Sally so she could play with Flash and Ivy (my brother's dogs). She enjoyed that. Then we sat around talking and watched Get Smart until 2 am. Needless to say we were tired when we got home.

While Scott was at work I helped get the house ready for guests later today. The party was great with lots of laughter.

We got up, showered, & packed for our trip back to SC. Scott had another training weekend and my parents were also throwing a graduation party for me. We stopped for lunch at Quiznos.

A lazy day turned into a busy night. I thought I had finished all of my chapters & quizzes for class so all I had to work on was my opinion paper due Friday. I logged into my course to see that the professor had opened up the last & final chapter earlier this morning. I also remembered that I had meant to do laundry. So I started that and got to work on my quiz and paper. It turned into a very long night. While I was doing that Scott gave Sally a bath. She's so cute!

We slept in, ate breakfast and then went back job hunting around town. Around 4pm we started heading back and you could see the huge storm we were driving home into. We picked up Quizno's for a late lunch. I hadn't had it in a while.

Wow. I can't believe it's already June. This year is flying by. Once again it was another lazy day. This afternoon we drove around town a little to job hunt for Scott. We only got to a few places. Once it got to be 5 and 6 pm we headed home since we figured most places were either closed or closing. So we ate leftovers and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. Scott actually enjoyed it.

Another lazy day. I made baked chicken and rice for dinner. Scott enjoyed it even though I got sidetracked and forgot the salt & pepper. lol.

Today was the baccalaureate service at church. They were celebrating every 2010 graduate from high school and college. I wound up being the only one from college, oh well. Even my older brother came and he never comes to church. When we walk the stage they hand us a present. Four years ago it was a Devotion for Graduates. This time it was an awesome pocket-sized, leather-bound Bible with gold edges and a gorgeous pattern etched in the cover. It is my new favorite Bible! After the service the church provided lunch for us & our families. It was great food and we had a great time.

Upon tradition, we had to take photos in the courtyard with the fountain & flowers. Needless to say we had several interesting photos and we were all busting out laughing. I posted all of the photos into a Facebook album. Oh how I love my family!

I spent several hours working on what I thought was my last chapter for my class. It was 80+ pages. It took me 5 or 6 hours to finish, but I finished!



My mom picked up Hudson's BBQ and hash for dinner. I mentioned to her that I had been craving Shealy's or Hudson's so she decided to get some BBQ since she happened to have a coupon. lol. It was so good! Scott was able to have good southern BBQ for the 2nd time. He tried it for the first time with me while in SC last year. We both got seconds on dinner; Scott may have had thirds. lol.

This morning we dropped Sally off at a friend's house and headed to SC for the weekend. Scott had training with his inactive reserve. 8 hours is such a long drive - lol. This is my favorite bridge that we pass during our trip. I don't know why I like it, it's just my favorite.

I didn't do too much today. I did another chapter of HW. I haven't been very hungry lately so for dinner I had a TV dinner. I grabbed one of Scott's plastic child utensil so my dinner made me feel like a little kid, complete with apple juice! lol.
