Day 89

My mom told me this morning that my Great-Uncle Heyward had died last week. This picture is of him with my mom several years ago. I haven't seen him in about 7 years. He was my grandfather's younger brother and now him, my grandfather, & their sister are all up in heaven having a good time.

Day 88

My first day at work! I'm working part-time with my dad's company. The boss's son is taking the full-time position in May when he graduates, so I'll be filling in March and April until he's done. :) It was pretty easy and I enjoyed it. Did some coding, data entering, bank reconciling, and some payroll with the help of my trainer, Dad! Hope I can remember everything next Thursday when I'm officially on my own....lol.


My dad & I went to this chinese place for lunch! I got teriyaki chicken & fried rice w/ an egg roll. So yummy! I know the picture doesn't look particularly appetizing....but it looked better once i mixed it around a little. Those are onions w/ the chicken.......Scott said it looked like worms - haha

Day 87

Went to the doctor & had some blood work done. It's gonna take 2-3 weeks to get the results. I have only had my blood drawn once before & that was due to an on & off fever back in elementary school & all I remember was me crying on my mom's shoulder so I cannot remember whether or not it hurt. I take shots pretty well so I wasn't really nervous but still had butterflies. It wasn't too bad. I chose not to watch them insert the needle but did watch the blood. Couldn't believe I filled up 4 test tubes. I did learn that my left arm has the better vein- lol. I also learned how much I weigh and somehow have lost 8 lbs over the last several months...

After my early appointment I met up with my twin, Heather, for lunch & a movie! Boy was that a lot harder than expected.....lol. We wanted to see Valentine's Day so we chose the theater closest to us to see it & decided to get lunch at the KFC near the theater. Well the movie was at 1:15 so we met up at 12:15. We get there & the KFC is closed until 1pm for some reason. So we then head to San Jose which is right next to the movie theater. It was my first time eating there & it was good! We head to the theater with 5 mins to spare to find out that it's closed as well - lol. The earliest movies are at 4pm......so we decide to head to a theater a bit further away but just as nice. We get there to find out that the movie isn't even playing there....lol. By now it's 1:35pm & luckily the movie was playing at 2pm at another theater right down the road. It was a GREAT movie!!! I left the theater smiling & will definitely watch it again with the hubby once it's on DVD.

Day 86

Walking to my 6:30pm class. The sun is setting later & it's not pitch black dark when I go to class now!

Haven't had these in a while so I got them to eat with dinner! Yum!

We watched Season 3 all weekend :) It was great. I love spending time with him & it was hard to watch him leave today :(

The car is officially ours!!! They gave us a quick run-through of the car's features & then handed us the keys!!

Meds are good! One I hadn't taken before and it gave me a rash on my back & chest....needless to say I'm not taking it anymore... lol

What I made myself work on today. My history paper on "Pocahontas" is due Monday but I'm trying to finish it by tomorrow night. I'm proud of myself; usually I procrastinate. :)

Yummy dinner! Arby's chicken sandwich, Burger King fries, & a fountain sprite -- pure yumminess!! lol

My belated Valentine's Day gift!! Seasons 1 & 2 have been off the shelves for months now but hopefully I can get them once Season 4 airs in 2 months. :)

Day 77

Our new car!! We did the paperwork so now all we're waiting on is the money from our totaled car to be deposited so we can make the downpayment! Then it's ours :)

Day 76

2009:
Us last year when we got engaged! We had our Valentine's Day date at Macaroni Grill & then he proposed in the car before we went to see Underworld 3. lol

2010:
This year my brothers, Scott, & I made Sunday lunch for my mom. Her birthday is Feb 13 & she requested we make lunch instead of buying gifts.


Greg cooked the ribeyes, I did the macaroni & cheese (first time ever making it), Nick did the green beans, & Scott did the dirt pudding! It was all yummy. And of course we had sweet tea, it's a must!

Day 75

This is us last year on this day. My friend needed pictures for a class so we volunteered ourselves. This is our unofficial "engagement" photo since we got engaged the next day. We sent this picture out with our wedding invites.

Day 74

My cuddlebuddy! She only snuggles with me. :) When I'm gone she sleeps at the foot of the bed, but when I'm home she curls up next to me for most of the night, especially when daddy leaves for PT/work. (She's curled up next to me in this pic)

We went to see Dear John tonight! I thought it was good. The ending was sad (which I expected) but it was still a happy/good ending! Scott even enjoyed it.

My first time cutting anyone's hair other than my own. Not to mention it's a military faded haircut, which are hard as is, so I'm proud! I know it's not perfect but it looks pretty good!

Day 70

On the way back from class & lunch I spotted a smiley on the sidewalk! I'm not sure if it was intentional or accidental. Once I got back to my room we packed our stuff & drove to Enterprise to rent a car. Then we headed to the site of the accident to look for Scott's glasses & then drove to the collision building to get his belongings out of the car. I was & still am in shock he made it out alive & without injuries.


He swerved to miss a deer, which still dented the back passenger side, thus pushing him into the above light pole at a certain angle causing the light pole to miss hitting scott by inches...... the below damage was from the pole.

We went car shopping today. Scott is in love with this car: 2010 Kia Forte

Day 67

Today was a rainy nasty day. So I laid around in PJs all day watching TV. There was a CSI marathon and then I watched TLC the rest of the night.

Day 66

Today was another day of retail therapy. I didn't buy as much this time. I decided to try these & they are yummy!!

I also saw these that I fell in love with. I have an addiction to purses, jewelry, & sunglasses....lol.

And the most exciting thing of the day......my Avatar poster!! I was just browsing through the posters at Walmart like always & when I saw this I had to get it! I loved the movie & I'm stoked for the day it comes to DVD! My Twilight poster in my dorm room was officially taken down to put up Avatar.

Day 65

It's not the best picture, but my fingertips are white! The past few years whenever my fingers and toes get cold they turn white & become numb. This is the worst I've seen it. Usually it's a finger or 2, but it was all 4.
