Today was a fantastic day!! I got up, used my new eyeshadows, & ran errands around town. I've been wanting a long, gray cardigan to lounge around the house & I finally found one and on sale! I love it. Then I went to Walmart for some things. I got a gift card from work so I decided to use it. I got a lot of stuff for our house, a replacement watch for Scott, and new chew toys for Sally. She destroyed the other ones. lol

I also decided to check the redbox for any new movies and saw these. I've been wanting to see these so I'm excited.

Relaxed around the house. I vacuumed and did laundry. So fun right? lol

I can't believe it's been 9 years since 9/11. Today was my last day at work. My replacement was supposed to be training with me, but she called in sick. So I spent my last day on my own. It was good to have one last time to do everything. I got to watch/listen to the USC game. We beat UGA 17-6.

After work I took Sally to the vet for a check-up. I decided to get her a new collar. The one she got from the shelter is an inconvenience and the one my friend gave us is too small now. So now she has a new one.

Headed back to KY for work. The leaves in TN are already changing. It's so pretty! Autumn is my favorite.

I had an interview at 10am. It went well. They told me they would make their decision by the end of the week. So I get home and tend to things and within an hour I got a call saying I got the job!!! I was so excited!!! So we decided to celebrate by picking up Chick-fil-A and renting movies.

I didn't do much today. I made lots of phone calls. A friend of mine sent me 2 tubes of VS lip gloss. They were a gift to her & she didn't want them so she sent them to me. I had forgotten about them until they arrived!

Got up at 9am to start our long drive to SC. Our usual 8 hour drive turned into 12 due to stopping for lunch, traffic,

We slept in and enjoyed the day. We headed into town to go to Harbor Freight for a toolbox that was on sale. We get there and it had been part of the flood back in May so it was gone. So we drove around town and went shopping. We had lunch at Rafferty's. It's my favorite restaurant! There aren't any back home in SC so this may be the last time I eat here for a while.


After yummy lunch we went to the mall nearby. Since I have an interview in a few days my parents wanted to make sure I had appropriate business attire. I have clothes already, but more doesn't hurt. I tried on several items. Only one pair of pants fit and they were a size 2!! I was shocked they fit since I'm usually in 5's. I got a few tops and a cute necklace that I can use as a belt. I also stopped by Kay's and got my rings cleaned. It's been over a year and I forgot how shiny they can be.

I worked 1st shift again today. The head housekeeper ran to Walmart this morning to get milk for the breakfast hostess and she picked up an apple pie for me. So sweet of her. I was hungry, too. She gave me that and a banana.


While I was at work my parents & Scott did some packing. It was so weird to come home and see stuff gone. I'm very thankful for their help because it means less for me to do.


Once I got home we went to Food Lion for some groceries for dinner this weekend. During dinner we watched The Ugly Truth and had a great time. Lots of laughs.

Back to work today. I trained my replacement so it was a pretty easy day. lol. My parents and hubby are on their way up here to spend Labor Day weekend with me. It's gonna be so much fun! I haven't seen my parents in 3 months. Today was such a gorgeous day that when I got home I had to take Sally out and let her enjoy it. We played and went for a long walk. When we got home she plopped down in the kitchen. lol.

Lounged around the house until Carolina football kick-off!! I'm so excited for football season. I'm not a big sports fan but I love what football season means: crisp air, cooler weather, & autumn! So proud of my gamecocks, they won 41-13!!

Wow, is it really September already? Today is the hubby's birthday!! I hate I'm not there to celebrate with him but hopefully he'll be up this weekend for Labor Day and we can celebrate then. I went to Walmart to run errands. Sally needed dog food & I needed milk & bread. I ordered eyeshadows from my friend's company, Elohi Cosmetics, last night so I needed brushes and I found an awesome set that I'm in love with!! Now I have to wait for the products to arrive.

Another day of doing nothing. I made a waffle this morning and for the first time my toaster almost popped it all the way out. I heard it release and walked into the kitchen to see this. lol.


For lunch I made some frozen snacks we had and then had an Elvis movie marathon the rest of the night. My new favorite song is "Pocketful of Rainbows" by Elvis. :)

Didn't do much today other than lay around. lol. When I took Sally out this morning I noticed that leaves were starting to fall and gather on the ground. I love it!


I watched TV a lot today and I caught Sally watching Animal Cops with me. lol. Too funny! She was intrigued when a few puppies had been found & were whining. She walked up to the TV and was looking for what was making that noise. lol


Since it's Monday I did watch "Bachelor Pad" and "Dating in the Dark."
