11.13.2010

Scott had his monthly training this weekend so he was up early. We passed out last night around 10pm so I was awake by 7am. I am determined to get this apartment clean this weekend. We've been here for almost 2 months and we still aren't completely unpacked. So I got laundry started and did some things while my 2 "kids" napped. (5 of the 8 loads of laundry are pictured.)

TGIF. Yesterday was hectic at work but today and Monday are going to be slow. We met up with some friends of ours for dinner at Applebee's. They were driving through on their way to visit family so they stopped to meet up with us. We haven't seen them in over a year so it was great to catch up and meet Baby Shawn. He's so cute & I've missed them both.

Happy Veteran's Day! Today is my older brother's birthday! After work my parents decided to go out to dinner to celebrate. My younger brother was working so we ate at his restaurant so he could somewhat take part in the dinner. It's a cute little restaurant with good food.

We rented some movies tonight. We got home, put The General's Daughter in and realized we'd seen it before, so we decided to watch Terminator Salvation instead. I haven't seen any of the terminator movies, but this one was good. Afterward we watched the rest of the CMA's.

We decided to try something new for dinner. I saw a commercial for it and it seemed like something good for a cold night. We made mashed potatoes topped with chunky soup. It was good.

After work I told Scott I was craving Tokyo Grill, so we decided to go there for dinner. I drove and told him I was gonna take a detour. I spontaneously decided to surprise him so when we were getting close I told him to close his eyes. I pulled up in front of the theater and told him to open & to pick what he wanted to see. He picked which movie and then we went to Tokyo Grill for dinner until the movie started. We still had time to kill after dinner so we went in a nearby shop and found a few things, including this new purse.


We saw Inception. It was really good! It had me on the edge of seat ready to pull my hair out because I couldn't wait to see how it ended.

While out shopping yesterday we found a set of living room furniture we loved. I couldn't stop thinking about it last night and Scott agreed that we could handle getting them. So today my brother came over to check out our current furniture. He got my dad's truck, took our furniture and then met us to pick up our new furniture. It makes our apartment feel cozy and like a home. :)

We ran errands today. We bought a wax warmer and some scents. They're similar to Scentsy, only without the name brand. We burned a cube of one tonight and it smelled so good.


We also bought some groceries at Big Lots.

After work I stopped by my cousin's house to pick up some clothes. She cleared out some of her clothes and let me go through them. Two full bags of clothes!

After work Scott stopped by Verizon to see if they could fix his old Intensity. They told him no, but he found out that I was able to upgrade! I've had the same phone for 2.5 years and should have gotten a new one earlier this year, but when I switched from my parents' plan to Scott's plan my upgrade got pushed until next February or March. We found out later that I could've upgraded summer 2009 when I switched plans and Scott found out today that my contract expired a few months ago so I could've upgraded again a few months ago but wasn't aware. Long story short, we went back to Verizon and I got a new phone!!! I love it! I've been wanting a QWERTY keypad for a while.
