HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! After church we had lunch with my mom and then went to Walmart to pick up some stuff for Trunk-or-Treat. This is the first year my church was doing that so we participated. We then met up with a friend of mine and watched a movie and had dinner at her parents' house. Her & her neice came to Trunk-or-Treat with us. We decorated our trunk & passed out candy while they went around. It was a lot of fun!

We decided to run some errands. I needed a few things at Walmart. We wound up checking out a new store that was kinda like Big Lots and we got in trouble. lol. We bought some Christmas stuff & home decor.


We also bought Sally her first bed. I was worried she'd chew it up since she's been into chewing things that are not her toys, including a blanket that we had folded up that she was laying on as a temporary bed. Anyways, we got it home & she loved it! At first she didn't know what to do, but she enjoys it now.


After we got home we took showers & got ready for a Halloween party at my brother's house. It was an awesome party! He had black lights, lasers, a fog machine, and awesome dance music.

We watched Stardust and made a pizza. Unfortunately, like most nights, I fell asleep towards the end and missed parts of the movie.

My 2nd cousin was born this afternoon!! Baby Grayson Lee. He was due on Halloween so he was a little early. He's so adorable. I think he looks like his mama with his daddy's red hair.

We rented more movies today. The Robin Williams stand-up DVD was hilarious! The Princess & the Frog was such a cute & great movie. The Karate Kid is the newest one and it was good.

Today is our 3-year dating anniversary! I cannot believe three years have gone by. Man time flies. This time 3 years ago I was a sophomore in college and he had started his deployment to Iraq. I can still remember that phone call & where I was & what I was doing when we made things official.

After church we had lunch with my parents and then headed to the fair again with my brother and his girlfriend. We had a great time!

Day 2 of the "Living Real" conference and boy was it amazing!


Afterward Scott & I went back to the fair to finish our first trip from the previous weekend. We still had to do our tradition of riding the ferris wheel at night. He also wanted to try the fried mushrooms and we had some extra tickets to use still.

A lady at my church felt led to start a magazine called "Living Real". The first issue came out recently and they decided to do a weekend conference so you could meet the people behind the articles and stories. So today was the first day. It was really good.

The lock on our apartment had to be changed. After work one day last week we noticed greasy footprints in our carpet that weren't ours, but we dismissed the thought thinking it was probably just maintenance. Yesterday we got home from work to find that someone had been in our apartment again because certain doors were left open inside our apartment that are normally closed. So I got pissed thinking our landlord was allowing people inside our apartment without informing us first. So Scott called them and found out none of their people had been in our apartment in the past 2 weeks...... Needless to say, they changed our lock.

After work today I was determined to get my books situated. They were still in boxes so it was one (or 3) more thing(s) to get done on our long list of things to do to officially have our apartment unpacked. It was good to accomplish something. I love my books. One day I hope to read every book on those shelves; I've already read several of them.

I've been at my new job for a month and they finally updated the employee bulletin board. lol. One of the operators had been there 2 months longer than me and didn't have her picture up either. Luckily when Boss Lady came by and took my picture, I looked clean. I didn't know she was going to be at our office to take photos today.

My mom's side of the family had their reunion at Pine Island. It was such a beautiful day. My uncle brought his boat so he took us out to the dam.

We went to the state fair today. We planned to spend all day but by 5 and 6pm we were both getting tired. So we decided to head home.


We stopped by Ruby Tuesday for dinner. We tried Sangria and it was yummy. We also went by Walmart where I got a few things that I don't need. lol

The doctors treated us to Hooligan's for lunch. It was yummy.


At work I was antsy all day because after work we were going to finally buy a flat screen!!! We've been wanting one for over a year and our old-school 20" was just too small. lol


We rented a few movies to watch on our new TV. Needless to say, we're in love!

The hubby & I had a belated anniversary date night. We haven't been on a date in months. The $2 theater was playing Grown-Ups so we went to see that. It was so good!


We didn't eat dinner beforehand so we snacked on popcorn during the movie & then went to Sonic afterward. I wasn't hungry for much of anything after all that popcorn. We were both so tired.

Today was bathtime for Sally. Scott went to put her in the bathtub & he yells for me to come and this is what I see. So funny!


We got a surprise from my friend, Kat. A few of our mutual friends had received cookies in the mail on Thursday & Friday and we hadn't gotten any so I figured we weren't going to get any. I opened our mailbox & saw a package from her. I was excited!! I knew it had to be cookies. I opened the box, and I had another surprise: she made me my USC bracelet & a keychain! The cookies were yummy. Pumpkin with chocolate chip and chocolate with peanut butter chips.
