Less than 2 months to go!! I'm getting excited to meet her and feeling better about being prepared for her now that we have some baby items for her thanks to my awesome family at my baby shower!

Unexpected Ultrasound

I'm now going to my OB every 2 weeks so this morning I went to my appt as usual. These appts are always about an hour long. I sign in, leave a urine sample, and wait for the lab tech. She gets my weight and blood pressure and then I go back to wait for the nurse to take me to a room. Once I'm in the room and the Dr finally comes in they always measure my belly/uterus and find the heartbeat. In the past this takes about 5 minutes and I'm done. Not today. I laid down and he pulled out his tape measure. He measured me about 3 or 4 times and proceeded to tell me that the size of the uterus should be growing at the same rate whether the mom-to-be is short or tall. So my uterus wasn't measuring on track like it has been so he told me he wanted me to have an ultrasound done to make sure Baby Girl is growing like she should and also to check my amniotic fluid. I wasn't too worried because I figured Baby Girl is probably tinier than normal & I am a petite person so maybe that's why my uterus was measuring small. He then pressed around my belly to get an idea of how she was laying so he would know where to find the heartbeat. He told me she was laying transverse (diagonal) with her feet under my right ribs and her head in my lower left abdomen/pelvic area which he said is probably why my uterus is measuring incorrectly. I still wasn't too concerned or worried that anything was wrong. He found her heartbeat & then I waited for my ultrasound.

I was so excited to get to see her again but hated my husband wasn't with me to see her, too. Seeing her on that ultrasound screen again was amazing! Comparing her to the ultrasounds I had 3 months ago, she was so much bigger! This whole miracle of pregnancy thing is truly amazing! The tech measured her head, belly, feet, and another area and told me that Baby Girl is measuring right on track at 33 weeks. Her belly was the only thing measuring behind at 29/30 weeks. The past 2 ultrasounds I've had Baby Girl has always measured a few days behind but she caught up. :) Her heartbeat is 156bpm and she's about 4 lbs, which the dr said is tiny but fine. (Supposedly 4 lbs at 33 weeks is in the 14th percentile, meaning she weighs more than 14% of other babies at this stage/age.) The tech and dr both confirmed I have plenty of amniotic fluid so we're both great! I'm very thankful she's still growing just fine and my body is taking care of her the way it's supposed to.

She kept opening her mouth almost the entire time. lol She even stuck her tongue out a little bit.

Such a precious face! And those cheeks…lol

It's crazy that 3 months ago you could see her head & most of her body in this same shot, but now it's all head!

32 Weeks! ♥

Can't believe another week has gone by and it's crazy to think my baby showers are starting soon! I'm excited to meet her but nothing is ready for her. lol

31 Weeks! ♥

Another week down, 9 more to go!! Eeeeeek! She's supposedly around 16" and 3-3.5 lbs. I can definitely tell she's growing because she feels more cramped each week. At my OB appt my doctor said she thinks Baby Girl will be about 6-6.5 lbs at birth and I agree. My husband and I were both tiny babies but he was 3" longer than me. She tends to stay in the same position all day every day. I wake up and her head, or at least what I think is her head, is on my right side under my ribs and she's laying diagonally. She stays there most of the morning making it hard to slouch at all at work. lol At night she wakes up and wiggles like crazy. I love this little one so much and I'm getting so excited to meet her, but our house is no where near ready for her!

30 weeks! ♥

I know I say this every week but I really cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by! Only 10 more weeks (or less if she's early) and we're still not any closer to having the house ready for her. lol I'm definitely feeling rounder and a little pointier this past week.

I didn't realize just how much she & I have both grown until I did this comparison! This is me at 26 weeks vs. 30 weeks. Supposedly she's been putting on the baby fat and chunking up over the past few weeks but it's still amazing to see her growth physically in regards to my bump.

28 Weeks! ♥

As crazy as it sounds, I think I've grown/rounded out even more than last week! She's starting to gain weight and pack on the fat, so she's definitely taking up more room than she used to. I officially cannot see my feet if I'm standing straight and my jeans that have always fit now have to have a hair tie, but barely! lol

It's so amazing and blows my mind how much she's grown in a month! She must've had a growth spurt in the past week or two because these jeans could button last week and now they need a hair tie, barely. lol This is 24 weeks vs. 28 weeks.

How far along: 28 weeks!
Size of the baby: acorn squash
Total weight gain: 10 lbs (but it fluctuates b/c Sunday my scale showed less than 9 lbs gained)
Maternity clothes: not really. I'm still in my regular clothes but my mom bought me some clothes that are Petite XS & S and elastic size 4 pants that I can wear for *hopefully* the remainder of the pregnancy.
Stretch marks: nope
Sleep: still good
Best moment of this week: I passed my glucose test!! And enjoying a long-deserved night out at the ballet & dinner at IHOP!
Miss anything: being thin, but I know it's worth it & hoping I'll quickly go back to my old size & weight once she's here.

27 Weeks! ♥

The other day I noticed she has decided to pop out a little more. I've also rounded out a bit more since last week. It still amazes me how much she's grown already & will continue to grow over the next 13 weeks. I'm officially in the 3rd trimester and it's crazy how fast time has gone. Before I know it she'll be here! After this week she'll have a 95% survival rate if born premature.

26 Weeks! ♥

I don't know how a 14", almost 2lb baby is in there! It's so amazing and crazy to feel her move/kick both sides of my abdomen simultaneously. I can't believe I'm at the end of the 2nd trimester already. Time is flying by. Her eyes are no longer fused shut so she can open her eyes. If for some reason she were to arrive between 27 and 32 weeks, her survival rate is 80-95%! The other day we officially hit double digits until her due date and reality hit a little, that's a little over 3 months! We still have SO much to get done. A house to thoroughly clean, we need to figure out what we're doing with the nursery furniture-wise & get stuff moved out of it, paint the walls, etc. I hope to get everything done by the end of April just in case she comes early.
